Karri is a slow-growing, durable Australian hardwood known for it’s distinctive red-brown heartwood. It’s sapwood grows in a narrow band and easily distinguished from the heartwood, being a pale pink. The grain can be interlocked or straight with a coarse texture.

Janka Rating: 9.0

Different species of timber have different hardness ratings called Janka Ratings. The higher the number, the harder the timber. This is an important thing to consider when choosing your timber flooring.
