Blackbutt

Eucalyptus Pilularis

Blackbutt  is a commonly grown hardwood that has attractive colouring from cream to pale brown, sometimes timber sourced from the northern part of its range may show a slight tinge of pink. Its grain is usually straight, and texture is medium and even. The colour range is subtle and is excellent where the colour requirement is light and neutral.

Janka Rating: 9.1

Different species of timber have different hardness ratings called Janka Ratings. The higher the number, the harder the timber. This is an important thing to consider when choosing your timber flooring.
